About Fine Art Castile
The mention of Castile conjures images of cool and graceful courtyards, of the gentle interplay of light and shadow over Moorish tiles, through filigreed iron and across the deep recesses of finely carved ornament. The dominions of the Crown of Castile held Salamanca, the leading artistic center. Owing little to the Italian Renaissance, the decorative styles of Castile were influenced by Moorish design and art. The 16th Century palaces of Castilian noblemen, such as the Casa de la Salina in Salamanca, are the inspiration for Fine Art Lamps’ new collection, which captures the beauty and romance of Castile in its age of great design.
